Your new role

You will be joining the English department as a Teacher of English on a maternity cover contract, with the flexibility to work full-time or part-time depending on your availability. The role begins in September 2025 and will run for the duration of maternity leave.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Marking and assessing student progress
• Attending parents' evenings and contributing to school events
• Supporting school trips and enrichment activities
• Becoming an active member of the school community

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• UK classroom experience teaching English
• A passion for literature and language, and the ability to inspire students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Availability to work from September for the duration of the maternity cover
