We are seeking an experienced and reliable Facilities Assistant to provide flexible and cover support for a secondary school based in Paddock Wood. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a school environment and is confident managing the day-to-day maintenance and operations of school premises. This role will have shift patterns between 8am-8pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the school premises
• General maintenance and repairs
• Health and safety checks
• Site security
• Supporting contractors and deliveries
• Ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of the school grounds
• Assisting with room setups and events as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a facilities assistant in a school or similar environment
• Flexible and available for cover work, sometimes at short notice
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Good practical skills and problem-solving ability
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service – essential
