Facilities PPM Technician ( Part Time / Temporary)

£16.92 per hour (PAYE) | East London | Student Accommodation

We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to support a busy student accommodation site in East London. This ongoing temporary role is focused on building safety, compliance and day‑to‑day facilities maintenance.

Start:                  ASAP
Schedule:            3 days per week between Monday-Friday
Hours:                9am–5pm (22.5 hours per week)
Pay:                   £16.92 per hour (PAYE)

Role Overview
You’ll carry out a blend of reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure the building remains safe, compliant and ready for residents. 

Duties include:

General maintenance repairs — routine fault finding and minor repairs
PPM duties — fire alarm tests, lift inspections, plant room checks, emergency lighting inspections, critical equipment checks and external property inspections
Health & Safety compliance — ensuring safe working practices and accurate record‑keepingWhat You’ll Need

Proven building maintenance experience
City & Guilds or equivalent
Strong Health & Safety awareness
Experience with PPM routines
Ability to work independently
Clear communication and customer focus
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
