Family Solicitor (Locum)

Rate: £40 - £55ph

• Cover is required for a Head of Dept level running a private family law caseload.

• Flexible remote working options available, although some on site attendance required

Our client, a respected law firm serving the South Hams community since 1832, is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor for a locum position.

The successful candidate will join and head up the family law team, handling a caseload of private family matters such as divorce, finances, and children cases, while providing support and guidance to clients during challenging times.

• Manage a caseload of private family law matters

• Advise clients on divorce, financial settlements, and children cases

• Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional client service

• Attend client meetings and represent clients in court proceedings

• Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely billing

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 4 years' PQE in private family law

• Strong client-facing skills and ability to build trust

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Proficiency in legal technology and case management systems

• Flexible remote working arrangements, with occasional office presence

• Competitive hourly rate for a 3-6 month locum position, on either a full or part time basis
