Family Solicitor (Locum)

Contract Type: Temporary/Locum
Rate: £45 - £55ph

• Cover is required during a recruitment gap running a private family law caseload.

Our client, a respected law firm serving the Gloucestershire community, is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor/Legal Executive for a locum position.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will join a large and well established family law team, handling a caseload of private family matters such as divorce, finances, and children cases, while providing support and guidance to clients during challenging times.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of private family law matters

• Advise clients on divorce, financial settlements, and children cases

• Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional client service

• Attend client meetings and represent clients in court proceedings

• Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely billing

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 2 years' PQE in private family law

• Strong client-facing skills and ability to build trust

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Proficiency in legal technology and case management systems
