Job Description - Family Therapist

Family Therapist / CAMHS Therapist - Inpatient Services

  • Chelmsford, Essex
  • £32,800 - £42,400 DOE
  • 30 hours per week | Permanent | Part-Time

Are you an experienced CAMHS Therapist looking for a fulfilling part-time role within a supportive and dynamic mental health team?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Family or CAMHS Therapist to join a specialist private inpatient service in Chelmsford, working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide evidence-based, individual therapy to young people receiving inpatient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured therapy sessions to young people admitted to the CAMHS inpatient unit

  • Support the emotional and psychological needs of patients through therapeutic interventions

  • Work collaboratively with families and the wider clinical team to support recovery

  • Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards

  • Contribute to team discussions, care planning and clinical reviews

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recognised postgraduate qualification in therapy (Systemic, Integrative, or similar)

  • Accreditation with a recognised professional body (e.g. UKCP, BACP, HCPC) or working towards it

  • Experience working within CAMHS inpatient settings

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A compassionate, professional, and adaptable approach to clinical care
