My client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to help establish and manage the finance and HR department at our head office in Bolton reporting to the FD. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to their growing UK-wide business.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage financial operations including billing, sales invoices, expense claims, and creditor payments.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and government regulations through effective use of the Citation system.
• Handle payroll processing, including timesheets and monthly payroll information for external contractors.
• Some HR responsibilities such as employee onboarding and maintaining employee records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• High proficiency in numerical, administrative, and IT skills.
• Previous experience with Sage 50 Accounts software is desirable but not essential.
