Finance Assistant

Location: Bolton Support Centre (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time

The Original Factory Shop has been serving local communities with great value and well-known brands for over 50 years. As we continue to grow, we're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our Finance team at our new Bolton Support Centre.

This role is central to the smooth running of our accounts payable and receivable function. You'll play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient processes - all within a friendly, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile customer credit and debit card payment transactions
• Resolve customer credit and debit card payment issues
• Maintain accurate records for all card payment transactions
• Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Manage supplier communications and respond to invoice enquiries
• Ensure accurate records are maintained and available for audit
• Regularly update internal reporting logs and systems

About You

• Experience of working for a retail or ecommerce business is desirable but not essential
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
• Proficient in data entry and invoice processing
• Excellent IT and Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organised, methodical, and proactive
• Experience with Sage 200 is desirable but not essential
