Finance Assistant (Part-Time)

Citadel Source is pleased to be recruiting for a part-time Finance Assistant on behalf of an established SME based in the heart of Bath. This is a part-time position, offering 24 hours per week, over three days. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking a balance between work and personal life, whilst also providing a clear and structured path for professional development.

About you

You will be an experienced Finance Assistant reporting directly to the Finance Director. You’ll be required to sustain the full GL function and provide bookkeeping support in order to maintain efficient running of the Finance Department. The role demands a good communicator who is structured, numerate, determined, and able to take the initiative. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar finance or accounts support role, be highly organised, detail-oriented, and ideally AAT part or fully qualified.

The role

• Full ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Complete accurate and timely bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies as required
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments
• Support the month-end close process and assisting with the preparation of management accounts

• A salary level of £26,000 to £28,000 FTE
