Finance Assistant Rents and Service Charge

Are you a detail-focused finance professional who enjoys working with high volumes of data? We’re partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant supporting rent and service charge processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, values-driven team in a role that offers real variety, autonomy, and flexibility.

You’ll be responsible for processing weekly rent and service charge payments, maintaining tenant accounts, and supporting key month-end tasks. You’ll be managing around £500k of income across 400 rooms — accuracy and attention to detail are key.

• Process weekly rent and service charge payments

• Allocate housing benefit payments and maintain tenant accounts

• Complete regular reconciliations and support month-end activity

• Work with high volumes of data, ensuring records are consistently accurate

• Experience in a housing or property finance environment (ideal, but not essential)

• Strong data entry skills and high attention to detail

• A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently

• A collaborative attitude and ability to work well with a close-knit team

• 4 days per week (30 hours)

• Hybrid working — 2 days in the office per week

• Flexible choice of working days

• Core hours: 10am–4pm
