Finance Business Partner

We are pleased to be working with a respected and well-established charitable foundation focused on focussing on enabling females in developing economies to fulfil their potential. The organisation is recruiting for a newly created Finance Business Partner role.

This is a part-time position (0.6 to 0.8 FTE, or 21 to 28 hours per week), with flexibility around how those hours are worked. The role is hybrid, requiring at least one day each week in the foundation's Central London office.

About the Role
This role is designed to bridge the gap between day-to-day finance operations and the delivery of strategic financial insight. Reporting to the Director of Finance , you will be responsible for:

• Acting as a finance business partner across programme and fundraising teams
• Supporting financial planning, analysis, and modelling
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Working closely with an outsourced bookkeeping provider
• Enhancing processes, controls, and financial systems
• Helping non-finance colleagues understand and act on financial data

This is a broad role that combines finance responsibilities with collaboration and cross-team support. You will have opportunity to think strategically, influence financial decision making whilst also been happy in the detail. It offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the organisation's growth and effectiveness.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience in management accounting and financial planning
• Proven skills in budgeting, forecasting, and modelling
• The ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-specialists
• Confidence working independently and building systems and processes
• Experience working with or alongside small or mission-driven teams

Charity sector experience and knowledge of fund accounting or SORP is beneficial but not essential. More important is your ability to deliver insight, build relationships, and support decision-making.

• Salary: £49,745 FTE (pro rata depending on agreed hours)
• Contract: Permanent
