Job description
BDO Regulatory Solutions are currently recruiting for a Finance Controller to join our client, an Asset management firm, based in London.
We are offering an initial 3 month part time contract starting ASAP with an excellent day rate, employed via an Umbrella company.

About the role:
Working with the COO to manage the finance function of the firm, including liaison with and oversight of the outsourced finance function. Management of the Firm’s risk framework including ownership of the ICAAP and oversight of the annual ICFR process with the Firm’s corporate partner, AMG.

Key responsibilities include;

Work with the COO to manage the preparation and review of financial statements and monthly management accounts for entities based in the UK and Hong Kong.
Manage monthly/quarterly and annual reporting cycle to corporate partner AMG.
Oversee financial control including review of bank reconciliations, authorising payments & cash transfers.
Responsible for managing the Firm’s out-sourced Finance function.
Liaise with the Firm’s auditors and manage year-end financial statement process for the Firm.
Assist COO in production of information for annual business plan.
Liaison with the Firm auditors for the production of audited financial statements
Ensuring tax compliance with various authorities including timely submission of returns, review of tax returns prepared, and timely payment of tax due.
Managing ad-hoc provision of tax advisory services by advisors.
Monitoring of Firm’s ongoing capital adequacy
Review of Firm’s prudential regulatory returns (produced by outsourced finance function) and submission on FCA online portal.

About you:

At minimum of 5-10 years post qualified experience as an accountant
Will have worked within the Investment Management industry with sound knowledge of investment management firms, LLP and pooled vehicle structures

Day Rate: To the Umbrella company
