Looking for a Finance Director role with purpose – but on a part-time basis? A respected and growing charity that delivers life-changing support across the South Coast is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Director to lead the organisation’s finance function over 3 or 4 days per week. This role is purely finance-focused, offering the opportunity to make a strategic impact within a values-driven team, while maintaining a balance that suits your lifestyle.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:
Leading the financial strategy, planning and risk management across the organisation
Producing timely, accurate financial reports for the CEO, Board and stakeholders
Overseeing financial operations, including audit, compliance and statutory reporting
Managing and developing a finance team, ensuring continuous improvement
Ensuring robust financial controls and systems are in place
Monitoring budgets, forecasts and cashflow
Acting as the lead contact for external auditors and financial partners
What you will need:
To be a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Experience operating at a senior/board level in a strategic finance leadership role
Experience working in similar roles, such as Finance Director / Head of Finance / Financial Controller / Finance Manager
A collaborative, people-focused approach with strong stakeholder management skills
Strong technical knowledge with a proactive and detail-driven approach
Charity / not-for-profit sector experience is desirable but not essential
What you will get:
£80,000-£90,000 per annum full-time equivalent (salary pro rata)
Part-time hours over 3 or 4 days
27 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata)
