Finance Operations Manager

We are assisting a Not-for-Profit in Birmingham to recruit a Finance Operations Manager to oversee the transactions side of the finance function. The role is offering £32,000 - £33,000 per annum. Please note, part time will be considered.

A well established and popular Not-for-Profit organisation based in the heart of Birmingham.

Finance Operations Manager:

• Lead and deliver the transactions finance function.
• Supervise up to four staff, inclusive of finance and payroll officers.
• Key contact for all finance and payroll systems for the the organisation.
• Implement improvements to current processes.
• Provide a high level of data accuracy.
• Complete bank reconciliations and journals.
• Review payroll reconciliations.
• Support statutory information for external audit.
• Assist with month end closure.
• Provide financial support and guidance to the wider business.

Finance Operations Manager:

• Ideally, you will be CCAB (or equivalent), AAT Level 4 qualified, note part qualified and qualified by experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working within a finance transactions function.
• Previous supervision of ledger and payroll staff is desirable.
• Existing use of Access Dimension finance system and IRIS payroll systems would be useful.
• Previous experience completing journals, bank and payroll reconciliations is essential.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team.
• A willingness to be on site to support staff.
• Previous payroll knowledge would be advantageous.

Finance Operations Manager:

• £32,000 - £33,000 per annum.
• Part time will be considered.
• 25 days per year (increasing to 30 on length of service), plus public holidays. Additional days holiday accrued for length of service. The holiday year runs from 1st September to 31st August each year.
