Financial Controller

Elite Staffing Solutions are seeking a Financial Controller for a fantastic business based in Taunton to work in person 2 days per week.

The Financial Controller's main duties include improving financial processes and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role that suits a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial management, ideally within property or service-based industries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of financial control including forecasting, and cash flow management
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior leadership
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliations
• Liaise with external accountants for year-end accounts
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, VAT, and relevant industry regulations
• Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to support business growth

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, or similar role
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) preferred
• Excellent proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
• Experience in the property sector or working with estate agencies is desirable
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
