Financial Controller - Part time 2-3 days

We are seeking a part-time Financial Controller to join a growing production business specialising in still photography, editorial shoots, and short-form video content for social media. Following a successful first year, this newly created role marks the company’s first internal finance hire and offers the opportunity to bring greater structure, control, and clarity across multiple productions.

Reporting directly to the Company Director, you will take ownership of financial reporting as well as the day-to-day finance operations.

The role is offered on a part time basis 2-3 days a week with complete flexibility on days, hybrid and flex hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage clear budgets in Excel across photography and video shoots
• Monitor spend and ensure freelancers and suppliers remain within budget
• Manage invoicing, payments, petty cash, and company cards
• Oversee multi-currency transactions for overseas shoots
• Produce accurate and timely financial reports for the Director
• Work with Producers and Production Managers on production cost reports
• Implement and maintain financial controls across projects
• Act as the main finance point of contact, working closely with the external accounting team

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Production Accountant within photography, content, advertising, or creative industries
• Strong Excel and budget management skills
• Confident in handling multi-currency projects and overseas shoots
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach
• Comfortable working independently in a part-time capacity
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across creative and production teams
