• £26,000 - £28,500 per annum, dependent upon experience

The Role

This is a dynamic role with the opportunity to join a small, high-performing team and become involved in all aspects of operating a business. With a key focus on driving sales and converting leads into orders but also involvement in marketing, budgeting and project management.

Whilst prior experience of the flooring industry would be greatly valued it is not essential as full training and development will be provided.

You must be dynamic, customer-focused, with strong organisational skills, and eager to learn new skills.

Floor Design Wetherby is a family business, established for over 35 years. We supply and fit floor coverings to domestic and commercial customers within the Wetherby, Leeds, Harrogate & York areas. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation for quality products, fitting, and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Take a leading role helping customers in our Wetherby showroom to understand their flooring requirements and to select the most suitable flooring option for their project, providing guidance and advice on all the different options available
• Take a lead in responding to customer enquiries in the showroom, face to face, over the telephone, and online
• Assist in the organisation of measuring and fitting appointments
• Assist in the planning and organising of customer orders, including liaising with manufacturers and fitting teams
• Assist in the marketing plan with a focus on driving leads, conversions, and sales.
• Be willing to get stuck in with the rest of the team on all aspects of operating the business to ensure customer projects are delivered successfully

The showroom is open 6 days a week, so some Saturday working will be required with a day off mid-week.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a highly varied and interesting role that will require you to develop a wide range of valuable business skills. You must be dynamic, customer-focused, with strong organisational skills and eager to learn. About you:

• Dealing directly with customers in a customer service role
• An interest in interior design
• The capability to work well within a busy team
• Self motivation
• Confidence in managing multiple tasks and projects
• Excellent IT skills, including experience of Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Excellent mathematics skills
• Clean drivers licence

Useful skills and experience:

• Experience of working within the flooring industry
• Experience in managing websites or social media platforms
