Banding: Equivalent to Band 8a
Location: Near Hastings, East Sussex
Working Hours: Part-time – 2 to 3 days per week
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (pro rata)

Pulse is recruiting a Forensic Psychologist on behalf of our client for a part-time role in a specialist mental health hospital in Bexhill-on-Sea. This is a rewarding opportunity to work across acute and secure wards, supporting adults with complex needs in a collaborative and well-established multidisciplinary team. The role offers flexibility, autonomy, and a competitive salary of up to £55,000 pro rata.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions, contribute to care planning and risk management, and support the wider team through consultation and formulation. You’ll also have the opportunity to deliver both individual and group therapy, and play an active role in service development.

Benefits include:

  • Flexible working pattern (2–3 days per week)

  • Competitive salary up to £55,000 (pro rata)

  • Supportive MDT environment

  • CPD and training opportunities

  • Coastal location with good transport links

What we’re looking for
You’ll need HCPC registration as a Forensic Psychologist and experience working with adults in mental health or forensic settings. Strong formulation and assessment skills are essential, along with a collaborative approach to MDT working.

Additional experience in CBT, DBT, CAT or group therapy is desirable, as is experience in secure or inpatient settings. If you don’t meet every requirement but feel this role suits your skills, we’d still love to hear from you.

How to apply
Apply via the Pulse website. A member of our recruitment team will be in touch to guide you through the next steps.
