Freelance Site Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced freelance Site Engineer to join a leading main contractor on a new build school project in Leicester. This role offers excellent flexibility, requiring 2 to 3 days of work per week, making it ideal for a professional managing multiple projects or looking for part-time consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish accurate site control, setting out for groundworks, drainage, RC structures, and steel frames.

* Conduct precise QA checks, as-built surveys, and maintain comprehensive records.

* Collaborate closely with the project management team and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered to specification.

* Identify and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies on-site quickly.

Requirements:

* Equipment: Must supply and operate your own Robotic Total Station (EDM).

* Experience: Proven track record as a Site Engineer on major building projects, ideally within the education sector or new build commercial frames.

* Qualifications: HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, CSCS card (White/Black preferred), and up-to-date insurance.

* Skills: Strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and a highly proactive approach to site safety and QA.
