Job Description - French Teacher

Are you a passionate French Teacher looking for a flexible, rewarding opportunity in a welcoming secondary school? This vibrant school in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire is seeking an enthusiastic languages specialist to join their team on a part -time, temporary basis, teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

This school has a strong commitment to languages and global citizenship, encouraging pupils to develop confidence in communication and a curiosity about the wider world. The MFL department is supportive, collaborative, and well -resourced, with a shared focus on engaging lessons and strong pupil outcomes. Located within easy reach of London, the school offers excellent transport links while retaining a friendly, community -focused feel.

The Role

As a French Teacher, you will:

• Teach French across KS3–KS5, delivering engaging and well -structured lessons

• Foster a love of languages and French culture among students

• Plan and assess in line with the curriculum and exam specifications

• Differentiate effectively to support learners of varying abilities

• Work closely with colleagues to support departmental goals

This role is ideal for an experienced teacher seeking part -time work or a confident practitioner looking to gain experience in a high -quality school setting.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching French at secondary level

• Be enthusiastic, organised, and adaptable

• Have strong classroom management and communication skills

• Be committed to inclusive, engaging teaching
