Fundraising Coordinator


Remote role, with regular travel across Cheshire


£24,000 to £32,000 per annum FTE


3-month fixed-term contract, possibly longer


Part time and full-time hours considered (minimum 3 days per week)


Interviews: 13th or 18th August


Start date: ASAP, August 2026


Charity People are proud to be working with a charity in Cheshire to find them an experienced fundraiser to help strengthen and develop their community and corporate fundraising activity during an exciting period of development.


There is a significant opportunity to build on strong community goodwill, excellent supporter stewardship, and a growing appetite for fundraising across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining momentum, developing new relationships, and ensuring opportunities are maximised.


Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this position will take ownership of community and corporate fundraising activity, helping to grow support across Cheshire and the wider Northwest. You will be working in a very supportive, flexible, and positive environment with an experienced leadership team that understands both the rewards and challenges of fundraising. There is a genuine commitment to investing in fundraising and developing sustainable income streams for the future of the charity.


 


Key responsibilities:



  • Developing and managing community and corporate fundraising relationships

  • Identifying and securing new partnership opportunities

  • Building relationships with local businesses, supporters, and community groups

  • Representing the charity at meetings, events, and networking opportunities

  • Supporting the delivery of a planned fundraising event, and maximising engagement opportunities arising from it

  • Helping to develop supporter journeys and stewardship activity

  • Supporting the implementation of an upcoming appeal campaign

  • Develop compelling fundraising stories and supporter communications

  • Maintaining accurate records using the fundraising CRM


 


You will bring:



  • Experience in a fundraising team, with strengths in either community fundraising, corporate fundraising, or both.

  • Experience in fundraising, supporter engagement, business development, or partnership development

  • A proactive and self-motivated approach

  • Strong relationship building skills, and confidence working with external stakeholders

  • Experience developing relationships from scratch and creating new opportunities

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to engage a wide range of audiences

  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage a varied workload


 


This is a predominantly remote role, with flexibility around where and how your work is carried out. To be considered for this role, you must be willing to spend regular time across Cheshire building relationships and attending meetings, typically equating to around one day per week, although this will largely be driven by individual diary commitments and fundraising activity. There is parking on site and paid milage for travel across the region.


This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, and creating momentum where there is huge potential for growth. This is a wonderful fundraising opportunity and there is scope for this role to progress past three months.
