Gardener - Part-Time

Experience the beauty of nature while making a difference in our residents' lives at Elmbridge Retirement Village. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Gardener to join our team on a part-time basis (16 hours per week - to be worked over 4 mornings per week OR 2 days per week) to help create and maintain our stunning landscape.

As a Gardener at Elmbridge Village you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by creating beautiful outdoor spaces that they can enjoy and relax in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the planting and maintenance of flowers, plants, and trees.
• Performing regular watering, pruning, and weeding to keep the gardens tidy and vibrant.
• Maintaining lawns, hedges, and other green areas.
• Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools.
• Assisting in the implementation of landscaping projects.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure the gardens meet the expectations and preferences of our residents.
• Following health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Helping the GM/FM with other tasks in and around the Village outside the garden environment when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred, but not required.
• Passion for working with plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
• Basic knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Physical stamina to perform gardening tasks, including lifting and operating equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to garden maintenance.
