Prospero Teaching is looking for a Grounds Person to work at a prestigious independent school located in Walthamstow, E17. The school has exceptional facilities, including extensive sports grounds, and prides itself on maintaining a high standard of amenities for staff and students.
This is a full-time, permanent role supporting the maintenance and development of the school's outdoor sports facilities and grounds. The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Grounds Manager and play a key part in the day-to-day upkeep of the schools playing surfaces and wider estate.

· Full time/part time: Full time
· Salary: Competitive - dependent on qualifications and experience
· Term Time: 08:00 - 17:00 (Rolling rota including weekday/weekend shifts)
· School Holidays: 08:00 - 15:00
· Annual Leave: 30 days, to be taken during Forest School holiday periods

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
· Verifiable experience in sports grounds maintenance
· Ability to use a wide range of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment
· Experience in setting out and marking pitches
· Understanding of and ability to implement Health & Safety at Work Act requirements
· Experience handling chemicals, fuels, and using groundskeeping machinery safely
· A proactive and flexible approach to work
· Excellent timekeeping and reliability

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Be willing to undergo a DBS check if required
· Provide two professional references, ideally one from a previous role involving grounds maintenance or similar work
