Hair Technician

• Annual Salary: £15 - £17.5 per hour
• Location: Croydon
• Job Type: Part-time, Temporary
• Working hours: Monday - Friday, afternoons

We are seeking a Hair Technician to join our client's team, working with students aged 16 and above in a dynamic hair workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in hairdressing with qualifications in Hair Level 2-3, and must possess either COSHH or First Aid training. This role is crucial in supporting both the educational and practical aspects of our hairdressing courses.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support in the delivery of hair workshops, ensuring that students comply with safety and instructional guidelines.
• Assist in practical demonstrations and oversee the application of techniques by students.
• Manage and order stock necessary for the workshop.
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment.
• Engage with students to enhance their learning experience and ensure they gain practical skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Hair Technician.
• Qualified in Hairdressing at NVQ Level 2-3 or equivalent (desirable)
• Must have either COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) or First Aid training.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with young adults and contribute positively to their educational experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workshop resources and stock.
