Head Housekeeper – Part-Time – Cotswolds

A private organisation with residential and educational facilities in the Cotswolds is looking for a Head Housekeeper to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis. The role offers a peaceful and well-maintained working environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in high standards and enjoys leading a small team.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll oversee the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodation, communal areas, and learning spaces. You’ll also be responsible for supervising a small housekeeping team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

• Lead and support a small team of housekeepers, managing daily task allocations
• Train new staff in cleaning procedures and health & safety standards
• Maintain high standards in bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces
• Prepare and service study rooms, meeting areas, and event spaces
• Monitor stock levels and request supplies when needed
• Handle basic admin tasks such as delivery notes and post
• Manage laundry orders and linen supplies

• Organised and proactive with a strong eye for detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
• Comfortable using basic IT systems
• Knowledge of modern hygiene practices
• Positive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn

• Type: Part-time, Permanent
• Pay: £15.00 per hour
• Hours: 27.5 – 32.5 per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability
