Healthcare Assistant

Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) perform a wide range of duties to support patients and healthcare staff. Their primary responsibilities include:

* Personal Care and Hygiene: Assisting patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain personal hygiene and comfort interview

* Daily Living Support: Helping patients with eating, mobility, transferring between beds or chairs, and other daily activities

* Monitoring Health: Taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and blood glucose levels, and reporting any changes to the nursing team

* Medical Assistance: Supporting nurses and doctors during procedures, changing dressings, preparing patients for therapy, and setting up medical equipment

* Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate patient records, including medical history, medications, and treatment plans, to ensure continuity of care

* Emotional Support: Providing reassurance, companionship, and engagement through conversation or leisure activities to enhance patient well-being

* Safety and Cleanliness: Ensuring a safe environment by cleaning and sterilizing equipment, maintaining hygiene standards, and following health and safety regulations
