Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic and growing primary school in Sittingbourne. If you have a strong teaching background and are eager to make a real impact on students' learning, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As an HLTA, you'll play a key role in supporting the classroom teacher while also taking on the responsibility of leading small groups and individual lessons. You will be pivotal in helping students reach their potential and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the delivery of high-quality lessons in the absence of the teacher
• Provide tailored support for students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
• Apply your HLTA qualification to ensure lessons are appropriately differentiated for students of various abilities
• Help manage classroom behaviour, maintaining a focused and respectful learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans and support students' individual learning needs
• Use your initiative and creativity to engage students and foster a love of learning

What We're Looking For:

• HLTA qualified or proven experience in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum, including experience with KS1 and KS2
• Confidence in leading lessons and working independently
• Ability to use positive behaviour management strategies effectively
• Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to inspire young learners
