Job Title: Home Tutor for Students with SEN (Maths, English, Science)

Location: Various Locations (Travel to Student's Home)

Job Type: Part-Time / Flexible Hours

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Maths, English, and Science Tutors to support students with work in the comfort of their own homes. As a tutor, you will be working one-on-one with students, helping them achieve their full potential in their academic subjects while fostering a supportive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised tutoring sessions in Maths, English, and Science for students with SEN, adapting your teaching methods to their specific needs.
• Create tailored learning plans to address individual strengths, challenges, and goals.
• Build confidence and motivation through encouraging and engaging teaching practices.
• Maintain progress reports and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
• Travel to the student's home for in-person sessions (locations will vary).

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
• Strong background in at least one of the following subjects: Maths, English, or Science.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Ability to develop individualised learning strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Access to reliable transport for home visits.

Desirable:

• Teaching qualification or experience in SEN education.
• Knowledge of specific SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH, Complex Needs.
