House Keeper - Childrens Home Part-Time

As a part time Housekeeper at a Children's residential home in Brighton, you'll help to create a warm and homely environment. Keeping the home clean and safe is no small task, which is why the role of Housekeeper is so important. The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean, tidy and welcoming environment. This means you'll have a direct impact on the children, their visitors and all the staff working to support them.
Working in the Brighton area earning up £14,874 (based on 25 hours per week) a year, you will be providing a high standard of housekeeping for young people and their support team.

Housekeepers Role:
* Ability to carry out domestic-related cleaning and house-keeping tasks to a high standard.
* Ability to work in a residential home for children with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties, trauma, and complex needs, and who can display quiet challenging and disturbing and on occasion aggressive and violent behaviours.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with colleagues, and teachers and others in education roles, and other professionals

Your Skills:
* Experience of carrying out cleaning or House Keeping work and duties in a professional capacity
* Knowledge and a working understanding of good childcare practice and healthy child development.
* Some insight into the needs of children living in the care system.
* Appreciation of the difficulties faced and felt every-day by the children in care.
* Experience of encouraging children to develop their full potential.
* Prior experience of working within a team of professionals.
