Job Description - HR and Finance Assistant

HR & Finance Assistant (Part-Time)

Microbyte is an MSP provider with clients across the globe and has grown exponentially over the past few years. We’re looking for a part-time HR and Finance Assistant to support our growing organisation. This role is 16/20 hours per week, working mornings, and offers great flexibility while still being a key part of the team. You’ll work closely with our Head of Finance and HR, helping to keep our people and processes on track and will also support our Bookkeeper in her role.



What you’ll be doing:



  • Processing and managing new employee applications and onboarding

  • Supporting the day-to-day management of HR systems and platforms

  • Coordinating and maintaining the employee review schedule

  • Assisting the Finance Team with ledger processing and reconciliations

  • Providing ad-hoc support to the Head of Finance and HR

  • Being a reliable all-rounder in a small, collaborative team

  • Providing general administrative support across the business



What we’re looking for:



  • Strong organisational and admin skills with great attention to detail

  • Some experience in finance processes such as purchase/sales ledger and reconciliations

  • An interest in HR and people operations (experience is a bonus, not a must)

  • Confidence using systems, platforms, and spreadsheets

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to help where needed

  • Someone who enjoys working in a small team and wearing a few different hats
