Information Governance Officer

Information Governance Officer – Local Authority – East Midlands – Hybrid Working

£20 per hour (Umbrella) | 20 hours a week | Initial 3-Month Contract (Likely Extension)

Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Information Governance Officer to join a well-established Local Authority based in the East Midlands. This is a part-time role on an initial three-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently conduct data protection compliance reviews in collaboration with managers across a variety of service areas
• Manage a broad range of information assets to ensure ongoing compliance
• Support the creation and review of privacy and fair processing notices
• Provide clear, accurate advice and guidance on data protection to internal managers and colleagues
• Maintain and develop the Information Asset Register
• Carry out general administrative duties relevant to the role

Working Arrangements:

• Hybrid working pattern: one day per week in the office (East Midlands)

Assignment Details:

• Initial contract length: three months, with strong potential for extension
• Up to £20 per hour Umbrella
