Elevation Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield to recruit an Interim Financial Controller.

This is a pivotal role within the business, offering the opportunity to lead the finance function during a critical period. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance team and play a key role in supporting operational performance and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing and variance analysis

• Take responsibility for stock valuation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

• Maintain the fixed asset register and provide capex reporting

• Partner closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to drive performance

• Support ERP system improvements and finance process automation

• Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness

• Provide clear, actionable financial insight to senior management

This role requires a hands-on, commercially focused finance professional with strong manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or on a short notice period.

Key Skills:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

• Strong experience in a manufacturing environment (min. 3 years)

• Solid cost accounting and stock control knowledge

• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
