Internal Communications & Engagement Coordinator FT or PT

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced Engagement and Internal Communications Coordinator to join a leading services based organisation at their offices in Basildon on a 12 months fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

This job is hybrid working with 3 days working in their offices and 2 days working from home but they are also open to candidates seeking Part Time work which would be 4 days (0.8 FTE).

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £33,000 along with a generous company benefits package. On completion of the full 12 months contact, they are also offering, a £2000 loyalty bonus, in recognition of the valued support provided to the team over the course of the 12 months contract.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading on employee engagement and internal comms for the business.
• Implementing and owning the annual employee engagement survey programme and the reporting of results.
• Identifying trends and opportunities from the employee survey programme and work with the Senior Management Team to create deliverable action plans for specific business areas to continually improve engagement levels
• Ensuring the mantra and values are brought to life and always at the forefront of any activities, messaging and communications
• Planning, designing and delivering an annual internal communications plan, utilising multiple communication channels to ensure the biggest impact and widest reach
• Creating the content, including drafting of all copy, imaging, and video material for engagement related internal communications.
• Planning, designing and delivering an annual calendar of employee engagement activities, ensuring alignment with employee feedback to maximise engagement levels.
• Promoting all internal communication and engagement channels and platforms, maximising take up and usage across the business.
• Working with the Head of People to increase visibility of, and employee participation in, company initiatives that support the mental health awareness agenda.
• Assisting the HR team with the recruitment, training and engagement of mental health first aiders and champions.
• Working with the Facilities Coordinator to ensure catering offering for the office aligns well with People strategy and employee engagement survey feedback.
• Planning, designing and delivering an effective employee recognition programme.
• Managing relationships with charity scheme providers.
• Keeping up to date with available corporate charity scheme options and proposing recommendations for consideration to Head of People.

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an employee engagement and / or an internal communications role. You will be a creative thinker who can build strong relationships with colleagues inside and outside of your immediate team.

This role requires an enthusiastic and outgoing personality who is able to drive employee engagement throughout a company and promote the company culture.
