Under the guidance of our teaching and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in making education accessible and enjoyable. Your day-to-day will involve:
Targeted 1:1 Support: Working closely with individual children who have specific learning and additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and build self-confidence. Small-Group Guidance: Supervising and supporting small groups of pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Pastoral Care: Providing essential support during key parts of the school day, including lunchtime pupil supervision. Collaborative Teaching: Partnering with class teachers to develop and strengthen pupils' core literacy and numeracy skills.What We Are Looking For
Our ideal candidate is a proactive team player who brings warmth and patience to the classroom. You should:
Have previous experience working with children, preferably those with additional or special educational needs. Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents. Demonstrate positive behaviour management strategies that encourage a calm and productive learning environment. Be committed to safety, strictly adhering to school policies regarding safeguarding, child welfare, health and safety, and data protection.
