Kitchen Assistant

We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Bolton (BL2 6PP) and help deliver high-quality meals in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Pay: £12.53 per hour

Hours: 7.4 hours per day, 5 days a week

Shifts: Ad hoc, several times a week

Typical shifts:

• Morning: 7:00 / 7:30 AM – 1:00 / 1:30 PM
• Afternoon: 1:00 / 1:30 PM – 5:00 / 6:00 PM
• Flexibility required based on service needs

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the cook to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and meals are prepared and served efficiently. You’ll be a vital part of the team, helping to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

• Assist in preparing and serving individual meals
• Prepare fruit, vegetables, and sandwiches
• Wash up and maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Ensure kitchen supplies are stocked and rotated
• Return clean cutlery and dishes for residents
• Secure and switch off kitchen equipment after use
• Follow food hygiene and quality control procedures
