Kitchen Porter

Are you an experienced Kitchen Porter looking for daytime hours with school holidays? 

Monday - Friday, 12.30-5pm, 40 weeks per year. Annual salary + holiday pay is divided by 12 for a regular monthly salary.

You will join an established team at Ashville College, Harrogate, to help receive deliveries, carry, wash-up and clean our back of house areas. Serving lunch for around 900 per day, the job is fast and can be physically demanding. If you thrive on providing the best possible service in a demanding environment, please apply now!

Accepting & putting away deliveries

Washing up, including dishes, pots and cooking equipment (using a commercial plate washer and some manual pot washing)

Cleaning/ sanitising all back of house areas, including walls, sinks, fryers & ovens

Sweeping & mopping kitchen floors

Emptying bins

Adhering to Food & Health & Safety regulations and completing all relevant training

Working within a team of professional porters

You must be a current resident in the UK and live within easy reach of your place of work. You must have the right to work in the UK. You must be able to successfully achieve an Enhanced DBS (we will apply for you)

You must be over 18 years of age

You must be experienced in a professional catering environment

Have a good working knowledge of back of house operations.
