Position: Kitchen Porter

Location: Potters Resorts - Five Lakes, Colchester Road, Tolleshunt Knights, Maldon, CM9 8HX, Essex, UK

Type: Part-time 

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our chefs and kitchen team, ensuring that all kitchen areas are clean, organised, and ready for service. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, assisting with basic food prep, maintaining cleanliness in all kitchen areas, and helping to ensure our high standards of hygiene and safety are met.

Pay:

• £12.21 per hour (over 21 years old)
• £10 per hour (18 - 20 years old)

Hours of work: 

• This is a part time role working 20-36 hours per week
• Straight shifts – no split shifts!

Working a combination of the following shifts:

7.30am - 4.00pm

12.30pm - 9.00pm

3.00pm - 11.30pm

Shifts will include weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Although no formal qualifications are necessary, the successful candidate will:

• Have some experience within a kitchen environment (although this is not essential)
• Have a good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
• Be able to work in a very fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Have a flexible approach, being able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• Enjoy working as a team, under pressure with a positive attitude
• Be able to follow instructions
• This is a physically demanding role
