Hays Education are looking for supply teachers, confident in covering key stage 1, to join our excellent team from September. Supply teachers are instrumental in maintaining continuity and enthusiasm in the classroom when regular teachers are unavailable. You'll deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1, nurturing curiosity and confidence in young learners. This adaptable role can lead to longer-term assignments or even permanent positions, making it an excellent path for career development.

Your new role

• Lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support learning in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
• Promote a kind and inclusive classroom culture through consistent and supportive behaviour strategies.
• Observe and encourage individual pupil progress, sharing helpful insights with regular staff.
• Adapt your teaching style across different school settings to meet the needs of young learners.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong grasp of KS1 subject areas.
• Flexibility and confidence when working in various classrooms.
• Positive communication and classroom presence.
• Experience supporting learning in a KS1 environment.
