Smart Education is currently recruiting for committed and adaptable Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across both mainstream and SEN provisions throughout the Teesside area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an LSA who thrives in a flexible environment, enjoys variety in their work, and takes pride in supporting students with a wide range of academic and emotional needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting students with learning differences or behavioural needs in both mainstream and specialist settings
• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions as guided by class teachers or SENCOs
• Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Encouraging social development, emotional regulation, and academic engagement
• Working closely with teachers, SEND teams, and other LSAs to provide consistent support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting learners in a school setting (mainstream or SEN)
• A calm, encouraging, and solution-focused mindset
• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience as an LSA)
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A valid Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce), or willingness to apply
• A genuine interest in helping all students overcome challenges and succeed.
