Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer (Part-Time)
East Midlands Council | Remote | £50–£60 per hour | 18.5 hours per week

We are currently working with a Local Authority in the East Midlands, who are seeking a Part-Time Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their legal team on a remote basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support to procurement and client departments on contracts for goods, services, and major projects
• Manage a varied caseload of commercial contract matters, including public health contracts and grant agreements
• Draft and advise on framework agreements, call-off contracts, concessions, and bespoke commercial contracts
• Offer guidance on subsidy control, general contract law, and procurement-related policies and procedures
• Assist with the training and supervision of junior legal staff as required

Details:

• Part-time: 18.5 hours per week
• Location: Fully remote
• Rate: £50–£60 per hour, DOE
• Duration: Initial 3 month contract with likely extensions
