Machine Operative

Abatec is currently recruiting for a well-established, forward-thinking company specialising in the manufacture and production of high-quality aluminium doors for a range of commercial and industrial applications. The role
They are seeking an experienced, motivated Machine Operator to join their team in the Clevedon/ Yatton area. This role has become available to support growing production demands. The successful candidate can expect a hands-on position operating machinery, with the opportunity to progress from a temporary position to permanent employment after 12 weeks.

Key responsibilities

* Operate machinery within a designated production zone, maintaining output targets with minimal interruptions.

* Set up, adjust, and shut down machines according to operational procedures.

* Minimise material usage and waste.

* Maintain tidiness and organisation in work areas.

* Ensure punctuality and adhere to contracted working hours.

About you

* Previous experience as a machine operator.

* Strong communication skills.

* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

What’s on offer

* Pay rate: £13.98 per hour + 50p per hour attendence bonus

* Temp-to-perm contract after 12 weeks

* Monday to Friday

* Rotating shift 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
