About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging music lessons to students across a range of year groups, likely on a pre-determined timetable. This includes:
- Planning and delivering a stimulating curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum for Music.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of music in all students.
- Contributing to the development of the school's music program, potentially including after-school activities or school ensembles.
- Working collaboratively with other music teachers to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music is essential.
- Experience in delivering high-quality music education to secondary school students is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students of all backgrounds and abilities.
- The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
- A passion for music and the desire to inspire a love of music in others.
- Experience in working within a Catholic school environment is desirable.
