Management Accountant

Company Details and Job Overview:

An owner managed SME on the outskirts of Blackpool has experienced significant growth, which has created the need for a new Management Accountant to join the finance team.

This is an ideal role for an analytically minded finance professional who enjoys a hands on role with plenty of stakeholder interaction. This role will play a key part in driving ongoing growth, whilst managing the day-to-day operation of the finance function.

Your New Role as Management Accountant:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including commentary and analysis
• Preparation of budgets and cash forecasts
• Management of stock
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• VAT returns
• Monitoring and reporting costs against budget
• KPI analysis including commentary and variance analysis
• Management of sales ledger and purchase ledger
• Management of payroll
• Ongoing review and development of existing systems and processes

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will be proven in a similar level role which includes all areas of finance in an SME environment. A collaborative working approach is required as you will be required to work cross-functionally with non-finance staff to provide meaningful financial insight and advice where required.
