Management Accountant

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a manufacturing company with a proud history in the East Lancashire area to recruit a Management Accountant. This business enjoys exceptional staff retention rates - many employees have worked there for 15 years or more and a large proportion of their management team are "home grown". They have a grown up working culture - where output is valued over hours worked. You will be have a high degree of flexibility in terms of working hours and a 4 day working week would be considered.

Working closely with the head of finance and other operational heads you will deliver regular reporting to support all activities across the business enabling solid decision making. This includes:

• Monthly management accounts preparation and presentation to the management team
• Detailed KPI reporting relating to pricing, sales, margins etc
• Metric information relation to operational performance (labour, stock, overheads, productivity etc)
• Interpreting and investigating variances working closely the operational team

By the nature of this role you'll enjoy a high profile within the business. This will appeal to someone who enjoys a mix of reporting and being out amongst the business, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement - continuous improvement focus is very much embedded in the culture here.

To be considered for this role you will have a strong track record in a Management Accounting role within a manufacturing company and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system would be advantageous. Whilst professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) may be beneficial the organisation is keen to welcome applications from those who have "skin in the game" and are keen to bring their knowledge and experience to the organisation.
