Management Accountant – Part-Time – Charity Sector – South Leeds
Salary: £30,784 FTE / Actual £20,800
Hours: 25 hours per week (occasional evening or weekend work may be required)
Location: Office-based in Holbeck, South Leeds

On behalf of Holbeck Together, a well-established community charity in South Leeds, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Officer / Management Accountant.

Holbeck Together acts as the Community Anchor and Neighbourhood Network Scheme for Holbeck, providing a wide range of services and social activities to support the local community.

About the Role:
This Management Accountant / Finance Officer role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Reporting to the Chief Officer, you’ll manage day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in budget planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with the annual budget
• Manage payroll and pensions, ensuring compliance with procedures and auto enrolment
• Maintain sales and purchase ledgers, including client invoicing, supplier payments, and debt management
• Daily bank reconciliations and accurate maintenance of cash books
• Support grant management and accurate grant budget reporting
• Process month-end journals, reconcile key accounts including PAYE and pensions
• Prepare for and support during annual audits
• Liaise with clients and suppliers, and support the Chief Officer with performance analysis and reporting

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and in producing management accounts
• AAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) would be ideal
• Knowledge of the charity sector and dealing with restricted / unrestricted funds
• Proficient in Excel and Word; knowledge of Xero is desirable
• Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
• A collaborative team player who values the work of a community-based charity
