About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled CIMA-qualified Management Accountant to support farm diversification projects by developing financial models and business plans. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong Excel skills, a commercial mindset, and a passion for rural business development.

You will work closely with farm owners, investors, and stakeholders to assess the financial viability of diversification opportunities, such as agritourism, renewable energy, food production, or property development. Your financial models and insights will play a critical role in guiding strategic decision-making and securing investment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed financial models in Excel to evaluate farm diversification opportunities.
• Prepare business plans, cash flow forecasts, and profitability analyses to support investment decisions.
• Conduct reverse costings and sensitivity analysis for new revenue streams.
• Work closely with farm owners and stakeholders to understand their objectives and update financial guidance.
• Assist in securing funding, including preparing financial projections for grant applications and loan proposals.
• Monitor financial performance of diversification projects and provide variance analysis and recommendations.
• Support in-house management accounting duties, including budgeting and financial reporting.

Key Skills & Experience:

• CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with experience in management accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Strong understanding of business planning, investment appraisal, and cash flow forecasting.
• Experience in agriculture, rural businesses, or SME finance is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Commercially minded, with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
