Mentor

Prospero Teaching is seeking positive, understanding, and nurturing Mentors to support young people at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX) in Tadley and nearby areas. These learners need guidance to reengage with education, build trust with adults, and explore their interests through meaningful activities.

As a Mentor, you will work 1:1 with young people to:

• Reignite their interest in learning through practical tasks and activities
• Build positive adult relationships based on trust and consistency
• Tailor sessions around the hobbies and interests of each learner to foster engagement and personal growth

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

• • • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
    • Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide references upon request
• Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
