Are you an experienced and driven Financial Accountant ready to take on a dynamic and rewarding role? We're seeking a motivated individual to support our Financial Controller and make a real impact on our growing organisation.

The Role
As a Financial Accountant, you'll be the backbone of our accounting operations, handling day-to-day bookkeeping, invoice processing, and journal entries. You'll play a vital role in preparing management accounts, trial balances, and cash forecasts while gaining valuable experience in project accounting for our exciting engineering and construction projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage financial records and prepare timely, accurate reports.
• Assist in creating monthly management accounts, including Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Accounts, and payroll preparation.
• Reconcile accounts, prepare VAT returns, and ensure compliance with CIS regulations.
• Support project accounting tasks such as invoicing customers, processing payments to subcontractors, and compiling cost statements.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualifications: AAT qualified (or equivalent) or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (minimum AAT level).
• Experience: Prior experience in construction or project-based industries is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Characteristics: Honest, reliable, and adaptable, with no criminal convictions.
