Our client, a reputable organisation based in Bath, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary, part-time basis. This role will support the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. A basic DBS check is required for this position.
DAY TO DAY:
• Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes
• Match, batch, and code invoices in line with company procedures
• Resolve supplier queries and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare payment runs and assist with BACS processing
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Good IT skills, particularly with Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Basic DBS check is essential
