Adaptable Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established business based in Knowsley to recruit a Part-Time Accounts Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated finance professional to join a close-knit team in a supportive working environment.

As Accounts Assistant, you will support the Financial Controller and Managing Director with daily, monthly, and ad hoc finance tasks. The role offers flexibility in working days (3 to 5 days per week), making it ideal for candidates seeking a better work-life balance.

• Posting daily cash transactions from bank statements into SAP
• Processing purchase invoices and resolving queries
• Invoicing deliveries and managing the debt collection process
• Filing and document management
• Processing monthly payment runs in SAP
• Reconciling and posting credit card statements
• Supplier statement reconciliation and invoice chasing
• Credit control - sending statements and chasing debt
• Petty cash and credit card transaction monitoring
• General support to the Financial Controller / MD

• Prior experience in a similar finance or accounts role essential
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel
• Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
• Willing to support other departments when required
